Cherry cask finishes are usually found in Scotch, not bourbon. That's a shame, because after trying these Toasted Cherrywood Bourbon Baggers, you may never want a bourbon without a cherry finish again. Toasted cherry finish will give you a cherry blossom orchard nose, and a sweet fruit forward palate. But where cherry really shines is in the finish. It creates a very long, very lingering finish that develops increasing cherry and stone fruit notes the longer you let it linger. Its a really amazing and interesting experience.
How Do I Decide Which Flavor?
- Toasted Oak: Best for low rye, unwheated, and corn-forward bourbons like Buffalo Trace, Evan Williams, Wild Turkey, and Elijah Craig.
- Charred Oak: Best for high-rye, spicy, or you bourbons like Bulleit, Old Forester, Four Roses, Michter's, and Jim Beam.
- Toasted Cherry: Best for wheated or sweet bourbons like Maker's Mark, Larceny, Weller, Jefferson's Reserve, and E.H. Taylor.
- Smoke Infusion: Best for strong and bold whiskey or making old fashioneds. Good pairings include Knob Creek, Old Grand-Dad, Redemption Rye, and Michter's Rye.
- Cherry Cinnamon: Best for any whiskey on a cold night. Good pairings include Woodford, Jack Daniels, Heaven Hill, Maker's 46, and Angel's Envy
Ingredients + Care
All teabags are made in the US using domestically sourced woods. On our cinnamon option we source imported cinnamon sticks and hand-crack them. We only import some packaging from overseas, while others are printed domestically. Teabags are shelf-stable and do not expire. Store in a dry locations away from wood-eating insects.
