Recipe: Barrel Finished Simple Syrup


I'm not going to tell you my life story just so you can see a recipe, so here it is:


  • 3 Bourbon Baggers (Charred or Toasted)
  • 12 Ounces Water
  • 1.5 Cups Sugar


  1. Put the Bourbon Baggers and Water in a saucepan
  2. Heat over medium heat until the water turns bourbon brown
  3. Remove the Bourbon Baggers from the water
  4. Add the sugar
  5. Using a spoon or whisk, continuously stir the sugar until it is completely dissolved and the liquid is clear.
  6. Put in a container and cool in refrigerator until ready to use.
